Canwest launched redesigned newspaper Web sites for all 10 of its major metro dailies today, according to a Business Wire report. Each of the newspapers owned by the Canadian publisher asked online readers to become a "know it all."

Graham Moysey, senior vice president and general manager of Canwest Digital Media said the newly launched sites offer a "fresher, more intuitive experience for users, offers richer and more targeted opportunities for both local and national advertisers while continuing to deliver the depth of trusted and engaging content that Canadians expect from their Canwest newspaper sites."

The company-wide newspaper site relaunch is being supported by a national ad campaign, customised for each market, according to the Business Wire release, posted by MarketWatch. The campaign's tagline states "Know your community, know the world around you. Know it all."

On the top banner of each site, visitors are invited to tour the site's new features through an interactive demo. Each site will also have a more local focus, in addition to national and international coverage, according to Business Wire.
